Greeting,
I am Mariella Alouette Iridessa of Earlwyn!
Though I weave my art with grace and confidence, I confess, colors overwhelm me with their vivid intensity.
As such, my creations are solely in timeless monochrome!

wow, i do NOT feel like making art

Posted by MiaNatzMai - 1 day ago

good morning to the- hold up lemme count first... to the 17 followers of mine!

sorry for abandoning y'all, i didnt even realize how little ive been posting, man i used to draw EVERYDAY, what happened to that?

time flies by so quickly (except when im in school).

i dunno what made me lose my passion, wait thats not the correct word, i DIDNT lose my passion for art, i just- uh...

its complicated!

recently every drawing i made feels like a sunk-cost fallacy, where i don't feel proud of it but ive already put so much effort into making it that i might as well finish that piece.

and because so, i dont feel proud enough to post it (if i even finish it), so it just sit inside my folder gathering digital dust.

Well, think about it : what make you proud?
I guess you have the motivation of wanting to see your work finished, and the passion for drawing, but you're being too harsh to yourself!

You should take pride in whatever you're doing, whether it's a big drawing or a small drawing! After, it's work and time you put there!

Your drawings are super good btw :D
18 fans now! XD

You should always feel proud of finishing something! Most people don't even get past dreaming, so to be the kind of person to make it all the way is worthy of a great deal of respect!

I started a webcomic/blog to force some work out of me, now i gotta upload weekly or ill hit myself really hard with a stick

its winter break though, don't beat up on yourself for taking a break!

*looks at join date* take it easy. be sure to pay the forums a visit and interact a bit with the community for advice, followers and to relax a bit. newgrounds has plenty of games to play, movies to watch and music to listen to.
go relax a bit, that's how you stay passionate. go have some fun, post every few days or once or twice a week instead of every day.

good luck!

ps. welcome to newgrounds!
